Volunteering Opportunities
There are many ways you can volunteer at Lyndhurst Community Centre:
- Join our Reception Team
Support our Admin team during our busiest times, helping with general enquiries about the Centre and its activities as well as taking preliminary details for bookings. - Join our “What’s On” Delivery Team
Once a month, collect an agreed number of copies of our “What’s On” magazine and deliver them to a particular rod or road(s). - Join our Library Team
Help staff the Library at agreed times, issuing books and receiving returns as well as fielding queries for books not currently available. - Join our Events Support Team
Help staff set up and supervise and clear up after events at the Centre. - Join our Site Improvement Team
Help our caretaking staff with refurbishment projects, perhaps re-decorating rooms or, if you are confident, helping with small construction projects. - Join our Kitchen and Catering Team
Can you spare time to help cater for events or help clean up the kitchen afterwards? - Join our Youth Club Team
Come along on a Friday afternoon to help supervise or run activities at our Youth Club for 11-13 year olds.
Training and Induction is provided for all the roles.

Data Privacy Notice
The Community Centre and the Library are owned and managed by a registered charity,
Lyndhurst & District Community Association (“The Association”).
What data we collect:
Name, email, postal address, telephone number.
Why we collect your data and how we use it: To enable the Association to communicate with you about your volunteering role, about events where help is required and general information about the Community Centre and Library, including a newsletter.
How we collect your data: Requested on expression of interest form.
How long we keep your data: While the volunteer is actively part of the volunteer team.
How you can control the data we keep: You can request we remove your data from our records at any time by contacting admin@lyndhurstcomm.org or speaking to the Centre Manager.
Do we share your data? We do not share your data with third parties outside the Community Centre unless you give us your permission to do so. Our email lists are held securely on a third party mailing server which adheres to GDPR legislation and are only available to Community Centre staff and Trustees in accordance with your communication choices.
